Day 2 – Mirrion, Tribu Alangan

2 months ago, we visted the mangyan children to deliver the school supplies they request from Feed Hungry Minds Library Inc., but we went home with a heavy heart. We saw the problem and deeper that the need for the face-to-face classes. Most children are bare footed, has cough and colds, malnourished and has very poor hygiene magbe because of their culture. Young girls marry at the age of 13, and has children at a very young age. We learned that they have no livelihood at all, except planting casava.

So, we plan to visit them again today, the whole morning in Unganguan and afternoon in Sitio siapo and brought with us hairdressers to cut their hairs, we Went to the Poso the only water source they have in the village and gave them a bath and a total make over.

We brought them toiletry packs from toothpaste, toothbrushes, towels, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, betadine, cotton, alcohol, white shirts, underwear, socks, slippers, shoes, bags, toys, and cooked lunch for them pork and beans and rice, and gave every parents assorted vegetables seeds that they can start off, we distributed cough medicine, vitamins, sanitary napkins, breads, blue water and a lot more.

The fun part is, we brush our teeth together and show them the right way of doing it. It was indeed an accomplishment and a successful mission, and we can’t do it without the love and care of so many people with big hearts! 💖💖💖

Total make over and transformation of Mangyan children in the mountain of Calomintao, Ulanguan, siapo Sta Cruz Occidental Mindoro, our mission was to bring them medicines and vitamins, most of them have cough and
Colds and open wounds, the last lime we visited them. The whole team brought them new sets of clothes, gave them a hair cut, went to the poso and bathed , shampoo, soaps teaching them the proper way to brush their teeth, gave new socks, shoes, slippers, toiletries packs, alcohol, bags, toys, clothes and a good meal.

We hope that this mission will bring change in the lives not to change their cultural practices but the importance of good hygiene, education in preparation of their new journey as they go down the mountain and pursue their dreams in the nearest town.

Ive been restricted by Facebook because they said i violated the community standard by posting nudity. As far as im concerned we are very much aware of not posting anything that will violate the community standards of facebook. We only post relevant videos and pictures from our missions. Pls understand that we are dealing with indigenous children, OR IPs we call Ayangan Tribe.

We went back to this tribal group not to change the cultural practices but to introduce hygienic practice which is very important to their health. The following videos will show how we managed to give them a haircut, bathed them, shampoo and conditioner maybe for the first in their entire life, gave them the proper way of brushing teeth, gave them a new, towel, hairbrush, powder, toiletries, white shirts, socks and shoes. Ang aming munting pangarap sa loob ng 3 linggo magmula ng aming planuhin unti unti ng maisasa-katuparan ang kahilingan ng mga bata at magulang ng Angat Buhay Village ng Mauraro Guinobatan Albay, na magkaroon ng munting aklatan, training center at learning hub ang kumunidad na itinayo sa tulong ng OVP, matapos ang mga taga San rafael ay hahupitin ng flash flood at malakas na bagyo. Sa muling pag bangon, unti unting nakikita ang liwanag ng mga residente ng Angat Buhay Village.

Isang proyekto ng ating Mahal na VP/Atty. Leni Robredo sa pakikipagtulungan FHM Feed Hungry Minds Library Inc. SOLID LENI BICOL ALBAY (servants for Bicol Albay) Vice Mayor Ann Gemma Ongjoco at marami pang individuwal na nais maiangat ang kalidad ng pamumuhay at kaalaman ng mga kabataan na nasa laylayan. Unti unti na nating nakikita ang kasagutan sa kanilang mga dasal. Walang imposible kung tulong tulong ipadama ang radikal na pagmamahal. Isang inspirasyon na itinanim sa puso nating mga Pilipino. A Month ago Vp Leni Gerona Robredo, turned over 100 houses to the beneficiaries of Angat Buhay Village Housing Project of the OVP, in Mauraro Guinobatan Albay we dreamed of putting up a Learning hub and a mini library for the children and a livelihood program for the residents. After 2 weeks of planning and 15 days of construction, finally we presented to Atty. Leni Robredo the developments of our hub. Its also a mini museum of the pictures we collected during the campaign, we showcased different activities from palugaw to radical Love and gift giving and relief operations of all the kakampinks and Feed Hungry Minds Library Inc.

Inspired by our leader Manay Leni, we dream of one day every barangay will emulate the same program and help eradicate hunger, ignorance and poverty!💖💖💖 with VM Ann Gemma Ongjoco SOLID LENI BICOL ALBAY.

What an inspiring day today at san Ramon Elementary School Tabaco City, brought my 2 FHM Feed Hungry Minds Library Inc.’s head volunteers to observe and learn from the testimonies of volunteer teachers and tutors of ANGAT BUHAY FOUNDATION NGO OF VP LENI ROBREDO learning hubs in Tabaco. How they implement and achieve very high success rate with very positive results in practicing one on one tutorial to children with slow reading skills and comprehentions.
