Fourth Stop
After organizing the motorbike ride and securing all the children books, encyclopedia and goodies prepared for these schoolchildren, (sotanghon, boiled eggs, cupcakes, choochoo cake pies, apples, bottled water and all the love..) followed a challenging one-hour round trip to and from this school, indeed challenging as the motorbike ride was more like a horse ride with its bumpy rough road and winding pathway… but was all worth it when the children together with Mam Sarah, School Head and their teachers met us with excitement and smiles.. most of all, with a grateful heart…

There are 2 Mamlad Elem Schools, sitting just side by side in its location but belonging to two separate municipalities: one is in Jovellar and the other one is in Pio Duran, both in Albay Province. As we had more sotanghon and apples left from the goodies prepared for Mamlad ES Jovellar, we proceeded to share them with Mam Mini and Sir Bembol in Mamlad ES Pio Duran for distribution to the pupils reporting in the afternoon. Their schools were not even five minutes motorbike ride from each other.. Mamlad ES Pio Duran is known for its being a consistent National Awardee in Brigada Eskwela.
Fifth Stop
From Sinagaran ES, we had to go back to where our service vehicle was and gathered all goodies and books for our last delivery and after a 10 minute motorbike steep climb on a narrow pathwalk, we reached Mamlad ES with Mam Jean Noleal, teachers and the children waiting for us.
In all these, all the difficulty and fatigue we were encountering just went away and on with the service we were meant to accomplish for the day… may it be under scorching heat and the seeming adventure in the transport of everything.. just to get there.. where God meant us to be.. All for His glory!!
Thanks to all the six ‘habalhabal’ drivers whose help we will never forget, the kind cooperation they showed to us, the care they gave us, especially Jun David who assisted all the way from ocular to delivery. Maraming salamat.
